"It is always ours to question why,
and never to just do and die"
(This is a twisted version of a Shakespeare’s famous quote.
It is unknown just who twisted it first...)

The physician's highest calling, his only calling, is to make sick people healthy - to heal, as it is termed.
Samuel Hahnemann
My clients are often curious about some aspects of my background. In response, here is the relevant part of my personal history…
I was born on Adriatic coast, in the city of Split, Dalmatia. Since very early age I was drawn to nature and animals.
Somehow, I always knew I want to be an "animal doctor" when I grow up. My parents patiently coped with all the 2,4,6 and 8- legged creatures, as well as the legless ones I kept "rescuing" and bringing home.
I obtained my high school degree from Natko Nodilo College in Split and then moved to Zagreb, capital of Croatia, to pursue veterinary studies.
This country, then known as Yugoslavia started crumbling and civil war broke out as I was finishing my second year at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The events that ensued were rude awakening to the hidden reality of our world. Adamant not to participate in the madness that seemed to have consumed the whole region, I moved to the part of the country which at the time was not directly affected by the war.
I continued my studies at University of Belgrade and immediately after graduation in 1996; started working with a busy city practice for companion animals. At this point it became obvious the war will continue to spread, so I decided to leave the country for good. Even though I was all set to immigrate to New Zealand, strange set of circumstances brought me to Malta. In a very short time this unique Island, worked its magic and I decided to make it my home.
In Malta I spent six years employed as Veterinary Consultant with Vetmedic. As the time went by certain shortcomings of standard medical treatments became obvious, and I started looking into alternative solutions.
I tried few different methods but their results were not impressive at all. During this time, I was introduced to the science of homeopathy. At first I approached it with great skepticism, but more I learned, more I wanted to know. The theory certainly made sense; however, it was the result of practical application that won me over.
This discovery of homeopathy did not bring disregard for my conventional education and training. In my opinion there are certain aspects of conventional medicine that still cannot be replaced by any form of alternative means. This is especially true for surgical procedures as well as various diagnostical procedures. On the other hand, when it comes to the therapy, homeopathy offers solutions where allopathic (conventional) medicine stands helpless. Therefore, my aim is to get the best out of both systems of medicine.
To paraphrase Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, in the first paragraph of his Organon of Medicine, it all works together in the wondrous process of living life and striving to achieve one's highest potential.
